Kick-start your career in international tax!

As a Working Student in Tax at AMBOSS, you’ll gain hands-on experience in an international environment while supporting core tax processes and projects. You won’t just assist – you’ll take ownership of tasks, contribute ideas, and learn how international tax really works in practice. With flat hierarchies and a collaborative culture, you’ll be part of a team where your contributions matter. You’ll have the chance to learn from experienced colleagues, explore international tax topics, and grow your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will:

  • Support monthly tax filing preparation and follow up on tax payments

  • Assist with reconciliation and data quality management across our systems (Shops, Data Warehouse, Accounting, Tax Engine)

  • Contribute to tax research and support the development of tax strategies

  • Support international tax registration projects

  • Assist with yearly transfer pricing processes and external tax reportings

  • Actively contribute to projects in these areas, showing initiative and growing toward independent ownership as you gain experience

You bring:

  • You're currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Economics, or a related field with a focus on taxation

  • At least one more year of enrollment ahead of you and the intention to stay in the role for a minimum of 12 months

  • First work/university experience in finance or accounting or tax (exposure to tax, is a plus!)

  • High interest in tax-related topics and ambition to deepen your expertise

  • Solid skills in spreadsheets and an interest in developing them further

  • Interest in working with accounting systems and tax engines (e.g., Datev, ERP, Avalara)

  • Clear and confident communication style, able to explain findings in a simple, structured way

  • Self-organized and reliable working style, with a high level of ownership for your tasks and projects

  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, with the ability to contribute in a dynamic team environment

  • Fluency in German and English, written and spoken

You enjoy:

  • You are genuinely curious about tax and especially interested in exploring international tax topics.

  • You enjoy working with numbers and data, and you are motivated to build up your expertise step by step by contributing to real projects with a tangible impact.

  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail come naturally to you, and you like solving problems in a structured way.

  • You are eager to learn from experienced colleagues and to see how tax knowledge is applied in practice.

  • This role is a great fit if you enjoy diving into complex international questions, taking ownership of your tasks, and supporting the team with a reliable, well-organized way of working.

  • Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are things you value, but you are also comfortable working independently.
