What you will do:
- Drive the company’s operating and personnel expenses as well as the headcount tracking and forecasting.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Finance Team and Department Heads to develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
- Build strong relationships with department heads to develop a full understanding of their strategic priorities, resource and headcount needs and support the decision-making process.
- Enable cost ownership and drive clear decision-making through the design, maintenance, and delivery of timely and accurate reports.
- Manage the working capital, including accounts receivable and accounts payable reporting and analysis.
- Proactively analyze and interpret financial information to identify, initiate and lead projects and actions to improve the cash flow of the company.
- Partner with the accounting team during month-end close to ensure the accuracy of bookings and drive continual process improvement by leveraging best practices, standardization, and automation.
- Dive into financial data in order to recommend and design new processes that enhance cost transparency.
- Support with company-wide projects, including the transition to an ERP system
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA qualification is often preferred.
- 5+ years of professional finance experience (Controlling, FP&A, Consulting)
- Excellent Excel/spreadsheet skills. Knowledge of BI tools and coding / SQL capabilities is a plus; experience with reporting/planning software is also a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills. Proficiency in German is a plus.
- Highly analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex financial and operating data and communicate to-the-point conclusions and recommendations.
- Experience partnering effectively with stakeholders with outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to all levels.
- Extremely well-organized with experience owning and driving initiatives in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong team player with a get-things-done mentality.
