Hello, we are AMBOSS and we are looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst to join our Data Team!


AMBOSS is a learning and clinical decision support tool striving to empower physicians across the globe to provide the best possible care. Our founders set out in 2011 to create a tool that they would have hoped to have as medical students and doctors. Since then we have grown to currently operate in 180 countries and have gained immense traction in Germany and the US. Currently, we are pursuing this mission with more than 500+ employees in our offices in Berlin, Cologne, New York, and Cagliari.

Role Overview 

As the Senior Marketing Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the data and analytics needs of the Marketing, CRM, and Local Market teams are effectively consolidated, assessed, and translated into technical implementations for the Data Foundations team. You will also support our marketing teams in making strategic decisions and optimizing our campaigns and channels based on your analysis and generated insights.

In the first 12 months, you will:

  • Support the development of a new data foundation for Marketing Analytics at AMBOSS.
  • Be the go-to person for our marketing and commercial teams to generate insights that help achieve our marketing goals and evaluate additional growth opportunities.
  • Analyze and generate insights for cross-channel marketing campaigns and individual channel performance (Performance Marketing, CRM, Organic) to guide the efficient distribution of marketing budgets and resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the impact of marketing initiatives and increase their ROI.
  • Consult with teams on the setup of A/B tests and analyze results to generate actionable insights.
  • Enable the marketing teams by creating dashboards and reports for them to autonomously monitor and understand the performance of their main channels and campaigns.
  • Refactor our definitions of marketing channels and attribution to better reflect our strategic goals.
  • Utilize web/app tracking tools (e.g., GTM), Google Analytics, SQL, and data visualization tools to provide actionable insights and data storytelling.
  • Implement data solutions that bridge the gap between various marketing technologies and our overall data strategy.
  • Collect marketing analytics requests from business and marketing stakeholders, prioritize opportunities and questions worth solving, and deliver actionable analysis.
  • Communicate findings effectively with business leaders to align marketing analytics priorities with organizational objectives.

You bring:

  • Minimum 3+ years relevant experience in marketing analytics – preferably with strong exposure to marketing technology and online marketing within a SaaS company.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, SQL, and data visualization/BI tools (Looker is a plus).
  • Strong expertise in web/app tracking with GTM or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability in data storytelling and translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Project management skills to drive analytics projects from conception to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with a structured and analytical approach to work.
  • An ability to work collaboratively across various departments, building bridges between data, marketing, CRM, and Market teams.
  • A solution-oriented mindset focused on optimizing marketing efforts and demonstrating the financial impact of marketing initiatives.
