We're looking for a product-minded Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the Integrations Team at AMBOSS. You'll work on innovative products that serve medical students and professionals, integrating with their daily workflow and making a meaningful impact on medical education worldwide.
About AMBOSS
AMBOSS is a learning and clinical decision support tool striving to empower physicians across the globe to provide the best possible care. Our founders set out in 2011 to create a tool that they would have hoped to have as medical students and doctors. Since then we have grown to currently operate in 180 countries and have gained immense traction in Germany and the US. Currently, we are pursuing this mission with more than 500+ employees in our offices in Berlin, Cologne, New York, and Cagliari.
You will:
- Work on integrations that serve the medical community, such as our browser extension, conversational LLM interfaces, and integrations for Anki (spaced repetition)
- Own product features end-to-end, from design and development to deployment and iteration
- Build data-driven products that leverage AI capabilities
- Develop testable prototypes, scalable MVPs, and low-/no-code solutions
- Contribute to the team’s product roadmap, vision, and strategy development
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, designers, medical editors, and marketers
- Contribute to our engineering culture by sharing your knowledge and learnings
- Participate in team workshops in AMBOSS offices (able to travel)
You bring:
- 8+ years of engineering experience
- 4+ years of experience in React experience and solid frontend development skills
- 4+ years of Backend experience (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with browser extension development (preferred)
- Experience with building data-driven products
- Practical knowledge of building with LLMs (preferred)
- Experience with testing and observability practices
- Familiar with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Basic experience with AWS and Kubernetes (preferred)
You enjoy:
- Taking a product-minded approach and deeply caring about the impact of your work
- Building empathy with users and solving real problems rather than just creating technical solutions
- Contributing to medical education and healthcare advancement
- Collaborating across diverse teams and disciplines
- Exploring emerging technologies that enable new possibilities
- Building data-driven products that deliver measurable value
- Shortening delivery cycles and improving time to market
- Using AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot, which we actively encourage!
