This role is an exciting opportunity to shape the foundation that powers nearly every AMBOSS product and team. As part of the Software Platform team, you’ll work at the intersection of scalability, reliability, and developer experience, helping to ensure that thousands of medical professionals can access AMBOSS seamlessly every day. You’ll contribute to high-impact projects such as overhauling our identity management system, migrating CI/CD pipelines to modern, cloud-native solutions, and improving observability for our GraphQL gateway. Your work will directly influence the performance, security, and efficiency of our platform, while collaborating across teams to build robust tools and infrastructure that enable innovation across AMBOSS. If you enjoy tackling complex technical challenges with tangible impact, this role offers the chance to do just that in a mission-driven environment.
You will:
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Contribute to core services such as GraphQL Gateway, authentication service, user service, etc.
Participate, facilitate and make architectural decisions related to the performance and security of AMBOSS
Own and operate core system services, such as the identity account management, user tracking, GraphQL Gateway, etc.
Provide platform and drive enablement in product teams by addressing developer experience needs and supporting teams with platform knowledge and self-service
You bring:
Clear communication skills
Solid understanding of Go, familiarity with Python or PHP
Knowledge of Kubernetes & familiarity with modern CI/CD tools
Data Analysis & SQL (Big Plus)
You understand the data stack or is ready to rapidly learn it
Ability to run your own data analysis to understand the current state and estimate the impact of changes
